    EXCLUSIVE WHITECHAPEL VIDEO PREMIERE FOR “DEVIRGINATION STUDIES“; WIN A SIGNED GUITAR!

    Whitechapel’s first full-length album, 2007′s The Somatic Defilement, put them on the map as one of death metal’s bands to watch. The concept album, about Jack the Ripper’s murder spree in East London’s Whitechapel district, led to their signing with Metal Blade the following year. The band completely remixed and remastered the album, giving their debut album a 2013 sheen. The new version of the album came out last month. Metal Blade has released a lyric video for “Devirgination Studies,” which you can view after the jump.

    That’s not all, though. We’ve also partnered with Metal Blade to give away an ESP EC-10 guitar signed by the band! To enter, just fill out the form. We’ll accept entries until May 31st and pick a winner on June 3rd. Sorry, this contest is open to U.S. residents only.   3. Alex Wade and Phil Bozeman Launch YouTube Channels

    Whitechapel guitarist Alex Wade has just launched his official youtube channel. Fans can subscribe now at youtube.com/AlexWadeOfficial. The first video is a performance demonstration of Whitechapel's Vicer Exciser from their upcoming re-issue of The Somatic Defilement. The re-issues was completely re-mixed by Audiohammer's Mark Lewis and re-mastered by Alan Douches at West Westside.

    Alex Wade comments on the new channel: "For a while, I have taken to videography as a second hobby to guitar playing.  Creating this YouTube channel just combines my two favorite hobbies and allows me to connect more personally with our fan base, so it just seems like a natural thing for me to do. I will be posting song play throughs of Whitechapel (and non Whitechapel) songs, gear demos, FAQs, tutorials, tour videos, and a lot more."

    Whtiechapel fans can also subscribe to vocalist Phil Bozeman's channel, which focuses on gaming, as well as responses to questions from fans. Subscribe at youtube.com/phillybo1985. The official channel for the band can be found at youtube.com/whitechapeltv.

    Full Scion Rock Fest Lineup Announced!

    The Scion Rock Fest has announced its full lineup. Scheduled for June 1, 2013, in Memphis, Tennessee, previously announced groups including Melvins, Municipal Waste and Pallbearer are joined by 17 additional acts including co-headliner Testament, plus Corrosion of Conformity, Whitechapel, Negative Approach and many more.

    As always, Scion Rock Fest is a free event, but you must RSVP to attend. The RSVP will open on April 10, 2013, at theScion AV website.
