Whitechapel’s first full-length album, 2007′s The Somatic Defilement, put them on the map as one of death metal’s bands to watch. The concept album, about Jack the Ripper’s murder spree in East London’s Whitechapel district, led to their signing with Metal Blade the following year. The band completely remixed and remastered the album, giving their debut album a 2013 sheen. The new version of the album came out last month. Metal Blade has released a lyric video for “Devirgination Studies,” which you can view below.
